Updates coming after the meeting with the Minister in charge of disaster management Hon. Liliana Aber with the district leadership and the District disaster management committee indicated that the minister has promised the Kalangala affected community as follows;
1. 5 Million relief Assistance to the families that lost their loved ones.
2. 1 Million relief assistance to those injured and affected families
3. Relief Items to the same families from Red Cross and OPM's office including jericans, sourcepans, posh, beans and others.
